It was the last free Sunday Min-Jee would ever have, well the last Sunday of the holidays. School went back on Thursday, why a Thursday she didn’t know, it was silly really, I mean go back for two days, what sort of joke was that, but of course she knew most girls were skipping in joy to the approaching date, Min-Jee was regretting it, maybe this year would be better then the past two. Yet while she regretted and loathed the approaching day she was a little excited too, it would allow her to do something other then martial arts training, horse back riding and gymnastics every single day for hours on end, and for what, so her father knew his daughters would all be able to kick some butt.
She sighed rolling her eyes to herself. She knew her best friend was still away on holiday and did not expect her back for another week, her sister were off doing the shopping in the big shops, getting their hair done and nails and who knew what else. Though it had been tempting she had passed so she could go to the markets, it had become a tradition and today was going to be huge, already it was only 10am and the crowd was flowing in.
She jumped off her push bike, she had kind of ditched her car over the break, it was still new, like a year old but she had also had her push bike for several years and loved it, plus she felt bad for not riding it a lot so she had been riding it all over the place all holiday. It was great! She chained it up and put the keys in her bag as she slung that over her shoulders and started to walk
She didn’t like crowds but there was still plenty of room to move around in, she was not shoulder to shoulder with anyone, thankfully or she’d passed out. Silly fear of crowds really. She was not looking for anything to buy she was just looking around, maybe she wanted to find a bunch of beads she could use to make into jewels and maybe she wanted some fabrics and maybe some pretty rocks and maybe some journals for this year, but really she didn’t know what she wanted or if she would buy anything, knowing her though she would, she’d find several things that would catch her eye but first she went to one of the cooler booths as she lined up to get a bottle of water, she couldn’t exactly dehydrate now could she.
